Changes to our health plan

THE way we support our colleagues through our cash back health plan has changed.

From April 1^st, VetPartners has switched from Health Shield to Westfield Health.

Among the improved benefits are Westfield Health’s Cancer Risk Assessment & Support, and a Scanning Service with unlimited MRI and CT scans  and one PET scan fully funded on your behalf.

Cancer risk and delayed detection are increasingly affecting working‑age people, leading to avoidable uncertainty, absence, and disruption. Westfield Health provides specialist guidance from diagnosis through treatment and recovery, offering valuable support and reassurance for colleagues who may be worried about cancer.

There is also Personal Accident Cover of £10,000 and an increased allowance for alternative therapy and chiropody. We appreciate the thresholds on the benefit schedule are shown in £s however, all claims will be reimbursed in €s.

Following feedback from colleagues about our current provider, we are also switching our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider to Health Assured.

This will enable colleagues to have six free structured counselling sessions, with the option to add more where clinically appropriate.
