INCREASING the number of pets visiting our practices for dental checks and treatment is the main aim of our new campaign to help combat dental disease.
Research shows that approximately 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over the age of three suffer from dental disease which can lead to other health issues.
It is often difficult for pet owners to spot the signs of dental disease, or to know how to prevent it, so our Dental Campaign, which runs from August 1st to November 30th, gives practice teams the opportunity to educate and support clients to maintain and improve their pet’s dental health.

Practices are encouraged to offer clients an opportunity to book a free dental health check.
Running a campaign in your practice provides our veterinary teams with the opportunity to start a conversation with owners of cats, dogs and rabbits about the importance of good dental health in their pet.
The campaign has been designed to be flexible so practice can choose which elements of the activity to use to encourage clients to bring their pets into practice.
It also gives practice teams an ideal opportunity to start a conversation and introduce the benefit of Pet Health Plans (PHP) to clients if they are not already aware. The updated 2025 VetPartners PHP includes 10% off all dental treatments for new or existing PHP clients.

We’re supporting our practice colleagues with CPD and learning materials which can be found on VetPartners Learning here: https://vetpartnershfhub.5app.com/playlists/193544
There are 18 different elements on the learning hub to support practices in running a dental campaign and for more information and support please contact cpd@vetpartners.co.uk
A dedicated social media pack will be provided for you to use to support in educating pet owners and directing them to the practice for further advice.
The pack contains elements for you to use including over 25 video tutorial posts, stories and gifs, together with ideas and tips for creating your own posts.
Should you require any further help with your social media planning or activity to support this campaign please contact dan.cole@vetpartners.co.uk or harriet.beattie@vetpartners.co.uk
Posters and leaflets to be displayed in practices have been created for the campaign.
You can order posters and leaflets in good time, via Pawprint pawprintportal.co.uk to highlight the offer and why dental health checks are so important to those clients visiting the practice.

TV screen materials have also been produced which can be displayed during the campaign.
