Small animal and mixed animal practices
Business Development Directors
BDD Ireland : Austin Donnelly
All VetPartners practices have support from a business development director (BDD), or a species director. Each BDD supports a regional group of practices, which helps to facilitate and promote networking and collaboration locally.

BDDs work with practices, supporting them to achieve the growth and development they are looking for. Those needs vary, as every practice is unique. They may range from facilitating networking between colleagues in other VetPartners practices to sharing ideas, challenges and experiences, in everything clinical and personnel.

Our BDD team is comprised of a range of people, all of whom have significant experience in veterinary practice, which we feel is vitally important. As a result, they are also typically well-placed to provide support whatever it may be that the practice leadership team requires help with.

The BDD, working in collaboration with the practice leadership team, alongside the integration partner and integration accountant, will facilitate the smooth transition of the practice and the team into the VetPartners family. They will all be keen to get to know you, as you get to know about us.
Business Support Manager
The team has a breadth of skills, all accumulated during their time working in vet practices over a number years, having held roles such as practice manager and RVN.
Your BDD will liaise with you to involve your BSM at appropriate junctures and they can provide support with various topics including communication style workshop facilitation, coaching of practice management teams, specific training development to complement practice growth initiatives, client experience projects, in conjunction with practice teams, development of health plan strategy and development of nurse clinic strategies.
Integration Partner
Your dedicated integration partner will work with you during the pre-completion process and over a period of around six months after completion, providing you with information, guidance and
assistance, alongside your BDD, to ensure a smooth transition into the VetPartners family.
Operations Support
The team are a key source of two-way communication between VetPartners central support teams and practices. They can help provide ongoing operational assistance to all VetPartners practices when issues arise, from stock shortages and outages, to equipment failure and process queries.
The team coordinate the group stock takes, compile and distribute the fortnightly VetPartners newsletter and coordinate VetPartners charitable fundraising. The team also provide support to BDDs, BSMs, equine and farm directors, clinical board, H&S and sustainability teams.
